Transform your kitchen into a donut haven with these simple steps! Begin by sifting the flour and mixing in the salt. Then, add in the yeast, sugar, milk, egg, and melted butter, kneading the dough for 10 minutes until it forms a smooth ball.

Next, nurture your dough by placing it in a lightly greased mixing bowl, covering it with a cloth, and allowing it to rise for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours until it swells to double its original size.

Once your dough is perfectly puffed, roll it out on a floured surface to about 1 cm thick. Cut out large circles and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Continue by cutting small circles from the large ones to craft your donuts.

While your donuts eagerly await their transformation, prepare your cooking station by heating a generous amount of sunflower oil to 180 degrees Celsius in your barbecue pan or Dutch Oven. Utilize a thermometer suitable for liquids to ensure precision.

Now, the magical moment arrives – fry your donuts for approximately 5 minutes, gently flipping them halfway through for uniform perfection. As they emerge golden and fragrant, allow them to cool briefly on kitchen paper before indulging in their sugary embrace.

Prepare for a symphony of flavor as you sprinkle your freshly fried donuts with sugar or adorn them with tantalizing toppings of your choosing. It's time to savor the sweet rewards of your culinary mastery!

Tip! Try adding a spoonful of cinnamon dessert mix to the batter extra flavour!
