What do you need?
For 4-6 people
- 1 bag of marshmallows
- 200 g dark or milk chocolate (chunks or chocolate chips)
- 1 roll of digestive biscuits or Graham crackers
- 1 teaspoon The Windmill Cinnamon Dessert Mix TWM098
- 1 tablespoon butter (to grease the baking dish)
- The Windmill charcoal for even and long-lasting heat
Optional for extra flavor
- Rolo’s or caramel cubes for a creamy touch
- Hazelnuts or pecans for a crunchy bite
How to make it over an open fire
1. Build a good campfire or charcoal bed
Set up the The Windmillcampfire set and use The Windmill charcoal or a combination of wood and charcoal to get a steady-burning fire. Let it burn until you have a glowing bed of embers.
2. Preparation
Lightly grease the cast iron baking dish (TWM036) with butter. This prevents the chocolate from sticking and helps with caramelization.
3. Chocolate & spices
Spread the chocolate pieces evenly over the bottom of the baking dish. Sprinkle the Dessert Spices(TWM098) evenly over them for a warm, spiced flavor that pairs perfectly with the smoky fire tones.
4. Marshmallow magic
Place the marshmallows neatly over the chocolate. Want extra caramel flavor? Hide some Rolo’s or caramel cubes between the marshmallows.
5. Baking over the fire
Place the baking dish on a grill over the glowing charcoal bed or set it in a Dutch oven stand within the The Windmill campfire set. Bake for 10-15 minutes with the lid on, or until the marshmallows are golden brown and lightly crispy on top.
We wish you all a lovely Valentine's day!
